The team behind pushups.sh
"We" are Filip, and I am refp, a full-stack developer from Stockholm, Sweden with strong (enough) opinions about version control and the codebases maintained.
pushups.sh is what happened after, at least;
- one too many otherwise-excellent engineers confessing to copy-guessing git commands,
- one too many git-related incidents wreaking havoc on prod,
- one too many hours spent inside the
man gitrabbit hole.
No idea to be honest, but it came to be, and here we are.
Where is the line between reality and fiction?
The "we" on these pages is not a startup pretending to be bigger — it's one person and an imaginary office of imaginary employees who keep fighting everyday battles with, and sometimes against, git.
I have personally worked with a junior developer named "Anton", a senior developer named "Luna", a startup cryptid better known as "Igor", and enough bosses to justify the creation of the final boss, "THE BOSS" (caps mandatory).
As for the senior developer named "Filip": no comment.
